Question for you moms or dads our there who are potty training. How old is/was your son when you started? How did you know he was ready? How did you go about starting?

I had tried at 2 and a half but found my son hating it so I tried at 3 and it was easy. Before you start the actual process I found that introducing my son to the potty and letting him sit on it great and will help you see if he’s interested in it. (sometimes they get scared of the potty). The method that worked for me was the egg timer method. You either put him in knickers or nothing and turn the timer. Every hour when the buzzer goes off you take him to the potty (sometimes cause they’re used to hearing the buzzer they go there themselves). Really dedicate a full day to it so that you get him to pee at least once in the potty. When he does go all out, praise him to high heaven and reward him with a sticker or lolly for his achievement. It’s a bit of a process but we all go through it.
