Potty Training Twins
If you have twins or children of a similar age you may feel that potty training them together may seem like a time-saver, but it doesn’t always work out that way, as your children may approach readiness at different times.
A key point to remember is that not all children are ready at the same time [...]
What Is The Easiest Way To Potty Train At Little Girl?
Need some advice from anyone that has already or is potty train a little girl that is a little over two years old. My daughter I think is ready to be potty trained I just was wanting to know the easiest way to potty train. By the way yes she knows when she goes poopy and kinda when she goes pee pee (that is the one I’m trying to get her to understand better). When I go to the bathroom in her bathroom she goes with me and trys to sit on her potty chair sometimes. That is one of the reasons I think she is ready to start potty training.

My daughter was a little over two when she finally started using the potty. We made a sticker chart and put it on the bathroom wall. She picked which sticker she wanted and she placed it on her chart. We used little hearts for pee-pee and stars for poopy. She enjoyed the stickers and her big brother who did not need any assistance when he was potty training got jealous and wanted a chart too. You should recognize though that children will take to using the potty when the time is right for them. My son was 3 1/2. We started the process last summer so she could wear dresses–easy access. Allow your daughter to pick out her own “big girl panties” this may encourage her not to make a mess in them. When you start do not go back and forth between diapers and panties it is confusing for her. My daughter does however still wear a pull-up at night. One more thing that may have made a difference. She is in daycare–so she saw her big bother get rewarded for potty training but she also saw how proud the other children were of themselves at daycare. We as a family would cheer her on in the bathroom when she took off running holding herself. People say little girls are easier then boys, I disagree. I think it is all in the childs individual personality. My little boy woke up one morning and told me he wanted to wear underwear today. 2 years later and he has only had one accident. My daughter however took some convincing one my part, she still gets mad and will pee in her pants or be playing at the park and seem to forget to go to the potty. Good Luck–be patient and consistent.
Replymy daughter potty trained about the same age. all i did was put her potty chair in the living room, and every time she felt like she had to go potty, i would tell her to sit on the potty. we, it worked. real good. just remember to tell her to pull her pants down first. lol i forgot to mention that to her. (she would potty her pants, but she was sitting on the potty chair) (my fault) anyways, i corrected myself, got her to pull her pants down, went great from there. i would have her sit on the potty every 20 minutes or so. especially after drinking something. worked for me. good luck.
ReplyA friend just turned me on to this book called, “Potty Train your Child in Just One Day”, by Teri Crane. It’s all about having a potty party. I know it sounds crazy; however, I have also read several rave reivews. I just purchased the book at Barnes & Noble this weekend. Check out her web site: http://www.tericrane.com/

well i have a 3 yr old she still has accidents now and then but i ask her and put her on the potty starting after meal times before bath after bath also every time you go have her sit and try also i bought her underwear and told her she could wear big girl undies if she went on the potty and you could also put a pair on her and pull up over it so she can start to tell the differnece what pee feels like bc most kids hate to be wet
ReplyI’m training my 2 year old daughter right now. She got the peeing down but still poops in her pants. I just one day said good bye to dipers for good and put her in panties. the first few days she would wet herself and decided that is no fun. I ran her to the bathroom every 20mins and anytime she went I got over excited and praised her gave her surpises. I never yelled at her for accidents just talked to her tring to explain how were a big girl now and going in your pants is no fun and yucky. In about two weeks of being totaly on top of it she now dosn’t have any accidents accept pooping in her pants. Were still working on it. When I go out in pubilc I still put her in pull ups just in case but i keep asking her if she needs to use the potty and stop what I doing when see tells me she needs to go. Encourage her to tell you when she has to go by asking over over aain do you need to go potty. I proud to say this working and my daughter tells me and even holds till I reach a potty. If only I can get her to poop in the potty.
